prim27783:Database aliases aremissing after upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1.

If you find the upgrade process has left you with no database aliases on the Primavera Client, it may be due to a missing configuration file.

The database aliases are stored in two locations

• C:\Program Files\Primavera\Project Management\PM.ini
     (The above path and filename would vary for each Methodology Manager and Portfolio Analysis applications.)


• C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\BDE\IDAPI32.CFG

Before uninstalling Primavera, simply make copies of these two files and store in a safe location.

If you find the upgrade process has left you with no database aliases, restore the backups of the two files above.
