| Cause: | This error can occur if the Methodology Manager database [MMDB] alias is not configured correctly for Primavera Project Planner. |
| Fix: | Database Configuration Utility 1.Choose Start, Programs, PrimaveraEnterprise, Help and Utilities, DB ConfigforPrimavera Project Planner. 2.Select Configure my database connection and then choose the Methodology Manager database option. 3.On the Select or Create Alias screen, choose the correct MMDB database.[Note: All Aliases must have unique names.] |
| Fix: | Manually Editing the PM.INI file If the user does NOT have Write access to the PM.ini file, obtain Write access and manually change the Alias: Open the PM.ini file [typically C:\Program Files\Primavera Enterprise\Primavera Project Planner] Change the Alias to a valid one for Methodology Manager [example: MMDB_PE]: [MethodDatabase] Alias=MMDB_PE Username=pubuser Password=1c}tnZ+2u4M2Q$#7I]MN(Cj2Fi-8Wgd\=wB9 PublicGroupId=1 Note: The password is encrypted, if the Pubuser password is not the default in the new MMDB, updating the Pubuser password has to be done through the Database Configuration Utility. Or copy and paste the four lines of MMDB alias information from a functioning MM.ini file pointing to the desired MMDB database. |
