Problem: | Why is there no visual indication of progress when I copy a project? |
Fix: | In Primavera 5.0, pasting to create a project is handled by a Stored Procedure within the Project Management database. This is designed to improve performance by shifting the burden from the client PC to the database server. Since the work is being done within the database, the client software is “unaware” of the progress of the paste operation. Workaround: To disable the use of the Stored Procedure and force the paste operation to be processed by the client, please add the following to the [Options] section of your PM.INI file: UseSpToPasteProject=0 The PM.INI file is stored in your Project Management directory. The default location for this is c:\Program Files\Primavera\Project Management. Warning: Disabling the use of the Stored Procedure to copy and pastes projects could result in a loss of performance for this function within the Project Management module. |
Fix: | This issue is an existing Enhancement Request. It will be considered for a future release |
